In 2006, actor , who was then best known for his role on the "Prison Break" series, made a series of tragic decisions when he attended a high-school party where he drank too much and left with three other teens to get more alcohol. While driving, he jumped a curb in his Land Rover at about 50 mph and hit a tree.
One of the boys in the car with him was killed in the accident, and the two girls in the care were injured. Garrison plead guilty for his actions at trial, where he was convicted of vehicular manslaughter, drunken driving and providing alcohol to a minor. He was sentenced to 40 months in prison, and he recently spoke about the experience on a TV interview. He said he did the interview to let young people know what life is really like behind bars so that they can better understand the consequences of their actions.
